ROT AND RUIN
BY
JONATHAN MAYBERRY
In the zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic America where Benny Imura lives, every teenager must find a job by the time they turn fifteen or get their rations cut in half. Benny doesn't want to apprentice as a zombie hunter with his boring older brother Tom, but he has no choice. He expects a tedious job whacking zoms for cash, but what he gets is a vocation that will teach him what it means to be human.

I liked the book. It was interesting to see how Tom and Benny's relationship as brothers grew, from "frenemies" to co-workers to partners. I also loved Nix's point-of-view, of how she wanted to write a book on zombies, of how they can't control they're actions.

Wow. This book is my favorite!!! To those who havent read it, it's not your typical zombie book. Its more than that. It's an amazing adventure and it has a lot of feeling in it. (It made me cry in the end) The zombies just make it that much greater!
Benny's timid, sarcastic behavior plus Tom's silent, serious behavior, plus Nix's bold, brave behavior is a great combination.(Does that make sense?) I truly adore this book. Tom is my favorite character. GO TOM!!!!
If you havent read this book, please, please read it. You won't regret it! :)

I agree that Tom is a very good character. I really start to bond with his and Benny's character near the end. At first, I didn't really like Tom, but that was because Benny didn't think much of him, and the book is from Benny's point of view. The lost girl was a really exciting addition to the story. This was an amazing novel! I wish there were a whole lot more like it!
I know how lots of people say, and I quote, "I love this book!" However, i must say, this is one of the best books I've ever read. I really loved the comedy in it along with the action and am gettin pumped for book 2!
